Jordan + McKenzie {reception}

This was the first reception I had been to at Cactus & Tropicals and I loved it.  So cool to have all the live exotic plants everywhere but also have an intimate setting.  Hope this wasn't my last  shoot there.  Thanks Jordan & McKenzie for having a completely awesome wedding for us to attend and for me to shoot.

Jordan + McKenzie {the temple}

Jordan & McKenzie were one of 72 (I think that was the last count I heard) couples to be sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on 11.11.11.  The weather was beautiful and even though we had to take pictures before the actual ceremony these two were still glowing.  

McKenzie {bridals}

Freezing temperatures, oncoming rainstorm & a photographer with a cold.  Thank goodness my subject was unbelievable!  McKenzie and her helpers were total troopers during this shoot.    I hope they think it was as worth it as I do!

 

Jack + Shawna

Aren't they so awesome?  This is my great-aunt and uncle, Jack & Shawna.  They wanted some updated pictures for their kids and decided to be adventurous and do some outdoor shots instead of the tradition studio ones.  I loved doing this shoot because it was so amazing to see how they are still in love & still best friends after all these years.  You guys are awesome!!  (I know I used awesome twice, but I just can't help it.)

 

 

 

Jordan + McKenzie

This past year my brother-in-law in fell in love with a beautiful girl named McKenzie & now they are getting married!  Not only that but I am lucky enough to get to shoot their events.  McKenzie has a flare for everything vintage and wanted that to come through in the pictures.  Jordan is a co-owner with my husband of a landscaping business so we also wanted that to come through.  So McKenzie asked around and found a few people she knew that have GORGEOUS backyards and were willing to let us shoot there.  We had so much fun. Thanks guys!!

Lindsey + Nate

Lindsey is one of my oldest and bestest of friends.  I loved being able to take her engagement pictures because it gave me a peak into her relationship with Nate.  I am just so happy for these two.  They couldn't be more prefect for each other!  Lindsey is a photographer herself so she asked for an exception and edited her own photos.  I decided though that I wanted to edit a couple myself so I could show you all how cute & great these  two are together.

The Uriona's {plus more}

These pictures were taken in Stacy's (my sister-in-law) uncle's back yard. BEAUTIFUL!  It was a beautiful location with a beautiful family.  We took the group family shots first and then did some individuals with just the Uriona's.  It is so fun being able to shoot family and hopefully help them create a little piece of history.

 

 

Riley

I think this is one of the most unique shoots I have ever done.  My good friend Lori has a son that is a total stud and she wanted pictures of her and him + his birth mom.  How lucky is he, right?  It was so fun to see the dynamic between these guys. And I was lucky enough to get to meet Kiley's (Riley's birth mom) newest family edition. I hope they enjoyed being there as much as I did!
